There is a reality beyond what we can see with our natural eyes. The Bible says, “We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18). That means what we see in the natural is not the final authority. It is subject to change.

Faith operates in what cannot yet be seen. Hebrews tells us that “faith is the assurance… the conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). In other words, faith is being fully persuaded that something is real before it ever shows up in the natural. It is choosing to believe God’s Word over what circumstances may be saying.

Every person already has the ability to see the unseen. It is called imagination. Throughout the day, people constantly picture outcomes, conversations, and situations in their minds. The question is not whether we are seeing something internally. The question is what we are choosing to see. Scripture instructs us to cast down imaginations that go against the Word of God and replace them with what God has said.

Without a vision, people perish (Proverbs 29:18). Vision is not limited to what we can physically observe. It is the picture we carry on the inside. Before anything changes outwardly, it must first be established inwardly. A person must begin to see themselves the way God sees them: whole, restored, provided for, and victorious.

This is where many struggle. It is easy to agree with what is visible. It is easy to agree with a report, a diagnosis, or a situation. But faith requires a different response. It requires us to agree with God even when what we see does not yet match what He has promised. We always have two options: we can agree with circumstances, or we can agree with God.

Joshua faced this exact choice. When God told him that Jericho was already given into his hand, the walls were still standing. The opposition was still there. But God told him to see it differently. The victory was established before it was ever experienced. The same principle applies to us today. What we choose to see internally will determine how we respond externally.

Faith is not denying reality; it is establishing a higher one. It is believing that what God has said is more real than what we currently see. It is being fully convinced, like Abraham, that God is able to do what He has promised (Romans 4:21). Even when there was no natural reason for hope, he chose to believe, and his faith grew stronger.

This is why the unseen is so powerful. It is not limited by time, circumstances, or human reasoning. What is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. When we begin to believe, speak, and act on what God has said, we are aligning ourselves with a reality that cannot fail.

Living in the unseen is not about ignoring life. It is about seeing life correctly. It is about choosing to believe that God is working, even when it is not yet visible. It is about holding onto His promises with confidence, knowing that what He has spoken will come to pass.

When we learn to live this way, everything begins to change. Faith shapes our perspective, strengthens our expectation, and positions us to receive what God has already provided. What is first seen on the inside will eventually become visible on the outside.
